Oui Chef! is the new gastronomic proposal of the renowned Chef Gonzalo Ferrand.
We have lovingly designed a warm and comfortable restaurant where diners can enjoy a spectacular international fusion cuisine.

The main objective of Oui Chef! is to create new dishes, flavors and concepts, always respecting Peruvian palates. In addition, we strive to provide a more intimate and personalized dining experience, so we have limited the capacity to 50 diners. This way, the chef can direct all the steps in the kitchen and put his passion into each dish to guarantee a unique and special culinary experience.

The Chef

He studied chef in Lima and once graduated he traveled to France to continue studying and work in hotels and restaurants.
In France he became Executive Chef of 2 hotels and sous chef of restaurants with Michelin stars and 3 touches in the Gault & Millau guide.

Several years later he returned to Peru as Executive Chef of La Rosa Náutica and later moved on to Cala, both restaurants located on the Costa Verde.
He was Corporate Chef and Food and Beverage Manager for the Thunderbird hotel chain, in charge of 6 hotels with 11 restaurants and 3 casinos.
He has traveled the world bringing our gastronomy as an ambassador for the Peru brand, in countries such as France, Switzerland, Spain, Tahiti, USA, Argentina and Paraguay.

In 2006 he achieved the most important achievement of his career.
He was invited to participate in the cooking world organized by the culinary academy of France, climbing the general podium with the Peruvian flag in second position and also obtaining the Pastry Grand Prix.

In 2013 he published his first book PASIONES Gastronomía & Arte, coffee table book format and was recognized by the Gourmand Awards in Paris as “2014 Best in the world cookbook”.

He is currently the Chef and owner of the Oui Chef restaurant located in the heart of San Isidro.

The Place

Oui Chef! opened its doors on February 14, 2023 after a complete renovation of the premises located in the heart of San Isidro, 240 Santa Luisa Street. This street is becoming a gastronomic hotspot in Lima with several renowned restaurants.

The 2 main objectives of the architectural renovation of the premises were the following:

 

  • First, an open kitchen has been created that can be seen from both the dining room and the street, allowing diners to observe the chefs as they prepare the dishes.
  • Secondly, a modern, elegant and relaxing room has been created that invites you to sit and enjoy the dishes, desserts or cocktails. The spaciousness and the entrance of natural light contribute to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere.

Oui chef! is a fusion food restaurant. It is the perfect place for lovers of good food in the company of friends, family or in a business meeting.
Our gastronomic proposal fuses flavors from different regions of the world, with a strong base in the culinary traditions of Peru and France, countries where our chef has acquired and developed his culinary experience.

Why the name Oui Chef!?

The name Oui Chef! can confuse and associate us with a French restaurant. It is actually due to our chef's habit of asking his cooks to confirm orders with a loud and energetic shout of ""Oui Chef!""

Is it a French cuisine restaurant with exquisite but small-sized dishes?

No. Not at all. It is a fusion restaurant with a gastronomic variety. Our menu is generous. We believe that happiness is in good eating and that means eating delicious dishes in good quantity.

Where is the place?

We are located in San Isidro, at 240 Santa Luisa street. It is just the extension of Conquistadores street, then Paz Soldan street. We are in a very popular gastronomic area with excellent restaurants such as Astrid y Gaston, La Cuadra de Salvador, Nam, Symposium, Ostreria Convivium, the XXXXX bar.

It is a gastronomic hub with a wide variety of options for all tastes.

Do you accept reservations?

Yes. We accept reservations by phone, whattsapp, online through this website or via MESA 24/7. We recommend making reservations in advance as our capacity is limited to 50 diners.

Can I go without a reservation?

Yes, reservations are not required. You can visit us and we will gladly serve you on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do you have valet parking service?

Yes, we offer valet parking service to our customers.

Although we recommend coming with a cab service if you wish to enjoy our cocktail and wine list.

Do you have any vegetarian dishes?

We have some vegetarian options: 

We recommend advising our waiters at the time of ordering of any allergies or special needs. In any case, our chef is willing to make any dish on demand if you make a reservation in advance.

How much does corkage cost?

35 soles per bottle.

Do you allow pets?

We love pets but at the moment we do not have the facilities for your pet and our customers to be comfortable in our establishment.

Do you do ""Delivery"" and can I order ""Take Out""?

Just like reservations, you can place your ""Take Out"" order by phone, whattsapp, online through this website or via MESA 24/7.  You can also order to take out in person at our restaurant."
